ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the utilization of spare time among medical college freshmen at different academic levels and to explore the factors that affect undergraduates' utilization of spare time and their solutions.Methods The questionnaire is designed by myself,including after-school time planning,arrangement purpose,arrangement content and time allocation,etc.392 freshmen with three different educational levels were selected by cluster sampling.The questionnaires were issued and recovered in anonymous way.Data was recorded and collated by EpiData software,and descriptive analysis and chisquare test was used by SPSS 19.0.Results There are basic or frequent arrangements in spare time for 40.5% (155 people) of medical students.For 61.5% (236 people) of medical students,relaxation is the purpose in arranging their activity in spare time.Medical students who surf the Internet,read books and sleep in spare time account for 28.7% (110 people),28.5% (109 people) and 22.3% (85 people) respectively.60.5% (232 people) of medical students chat and play games on the Internet.There are significant differences among the three groups of different academic levels in the purposes of arrangements,activity contents,internet surfing time and attitude of part-time job (P<0.05).Conclusion There are deficiencies in the utilization of spare time among medical college freshmen,and different academic levels are probably one of the influential factors that affect college students' utilization of spare time.

ABSTRACT

By analyzing the status and problems of academic evaluation level courses in public in-frastructure, we set up the academic level system of the process examination and ability evaluation of the public basic courses, from the four aspects, such as public basic curriculum, process examination and ability evaluation, the overall training objectives, teaching model, teaching and evaluation process, evaluation index classification and weight system of the academic level public basic curriculum. According to this system, effective measurement and verification have been carried out, and good results have been achieved. The system is conducive to students' correctly grasping the status of learning , and actively reflecting on the learning process, so that they can better grasp the learning methods. The system can serve as a useful refer-ence for the reform of similar institutions.

ABSTRACT

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal de 80 adolescentes -- hijos de padres divorciados --, quienes residían en el reparto Santa Bárbara del municipio de Santiago de Cuba, desde julio del 2014 hasta enero del 2015, con vistas a determinar las principales secuelas psicosociales presentes en ellos, para lo cual se les aplicó una encuesta y la información obtenida fue procesada estadísticamente a través del cálculo porcentual y la prueba de independencia de la Χ². Pudo concluirse que las secuelas más frecuentes fueran el bajo nivel académico en el ámbito psicosocial, con primacía en el sexo femenino, y el miedo o temor en el plano psicoafectivo, que mostró un menor número de afectados.


A descriptive and cross-sectional study of 80 adolescents -- from divorced parents -- who lived in Santa Bárbara neighbourhood in Santiago de Cuba municipality, was carried out from July, 2014 to January, 2015, with the aim of determining the main psychosocial sequels in them, reason why a survey was applied to them and the obtained information was statistically processed through the percentage calculation and the independence Chi squared test. It could be concluded that the most frequent sequels were the academic low-level in the psychosocial environment, with predominance in the female sex, and the fear or fright in the psychoaffective field that showed a lower number of affected adolescents.

ABSTRACT

The advantages and disadvantages , internal and external environments of Medical Journal of PAPF were analyzed by SWOT strategic management theory analysis with its opportunity and threats pointed out.Different fac-tors for the development of Medical Journal of PAPF were ranked to produce a SWOT matrix.The strategies were put forward for the development of Medical Journal of PAPF that represents the future direction of medical sciences in PAPF in order to keep abreast of competition with other domestic and foreign journals .

ABSTRACT

Objective To assess the CSCD-covered 7 journals of pediactrics.Methods The average number of refe rences,cited half life, H index, citation half life, self citation, IF, immediate index, self-cited rate of each paper pub-lished in 2013 in 7 journals of pediactric, covered in China Science and Technology Journal Citation Index Database, were divided into positive correlation group and negative correlation group.Their Spider Web maps were plotted.The papers published in the 7 journals of pediactrics were assessed.Results The top 3 journals, assessed according to the average number of references, IF, and immediate index, were Chinese Journal of Pediatrics,Chinese Journal of Prac-tical Pediatrics, and Chinese Journal of Evidence-based Pediatrics while the top 3 journals, assessed according to their citation half life , self citation, cited half life, and self cited rate, were Chinese Journal of Evidence-based Pe-diatrics,Chinese Journal of Pediatrics, and Journal of Clinical Pediatrics.Conclusion The academic level of the 7 journals of pediatrics is rather high.Chinese Journal of Evidence-based Pediatrics and Chinese Journal of Pediatrics have the highest assessment score.There is a large room for the other 4 journals to improve their academic level.

ABSTRACT

The following problems in medical journals of China were analyzed, including limited free full-text access, low international influence power, severe duplicated construction, academic misconducts, weakened peer review, and overemphasis on journal assessment indexes, with suggestions put forwards for their solution, such as exploring novel channels for digital publication and distribution , actively preparing journals publishedin English , and improving the academic level of journals.

Resumen


Introducción: la necesidad de mejorar la efectividad de los cuidados de enfermería ha llevando a numerosos autores a realizar estudio en este sentido, e implementar medidas que ayudan a mejorar la calidad de atención que brindan.


Objetivo: identificar los factores que influyen en la calidad de atención que proporciona el personal de enfermería a pacientes con carcinoma mamario, en un hospital público de Mexicali, Baja California.


Metodología: estudio descriptivo, observacional, transversal y correlacional, la selección de población mediante técnica de censo.


Instrumentos: cuestionarios autoadministrados para el personal y pacientes, que midieron calidad de atención y nivel académico; guía de observación de actividades del personal para determinar carga de trabajo; se utilizó regresión lineal para comprobación de hipótesis.


Resultados: la calidad en la atención, según percepción del sujeto de estudio se clasificó como Buena 82.52 %; carga de trabajo, Regular 24.28 % y nivel académico, Regular 66.6 %. Prueba estadística p = 0.017 (p 0.05) muestra que no existe asociación.


Conclusiones: la carga de trabajo del personal de enfermería sí influye en la calidad de atención de enfermería, no así el nivel académico.


Summary


Introduction: the need to improve the effectiveness of nursing care has brought numerous authors to conduct studies in this regard, implementing measures that help improve quality of care offered.


Objective: to identify the factors that influence in the quality of care provided by nursing staff to patients with breast carcinoma, in a public hospital in Mexicali, Baja California.


Methodology: descriptive, observational, cross-correlation and correlational; Selection of population census through technique.


Instruments used: self-administered questionnaire to staff and patients that measured quality of care and academic level; guide observation of staff activities to determine burden, was used for regression testing of hypotheses.


Results: the quality of care, perceived as a subject of study is classified as Good (82.52 %); work load, Regular (24.28 %) and academic level Fair (66.6 %). Statistical test p = 0.017 (p 0.05) shows that there is no association.


Conclusion: the workload of nurses it affects the quality of nursing care, not the academic level.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the system of academic assessment and evaluation on introduced talented personnel so as to establish a consummate talented personnel introduction mechanism and to further standardize the introduction work. Methods On the basis of referring to document papers and soliciting management as well as human resource experts iteratively,the research method of expert consultation was adopted.(Results)The index system of academic assessment and evaluation on introduced talented personnel in school of medicine was preliminary established,and the objective index and subjective evaluation were scientifically combined to form the method of academic assessment and evaluation on introduced talented personnel. Conclusion Through simulative assessment and evaluation as well as probational demonstration,there exits definite scientificality and applicability on this academic assessment and evaluation index system,and it can provide a properly objective evaluation and essential reference foundation in the aspect of introducing more advanced talented personnel in the near future.
